DESCRIPTION

在现实生活中,不同人对同一个场景的解读会有不同。也就是说,焦点不同,一个场景可以理解成无数个主题。转译到作品中时,图像不同的裁切和聚焦会带来质的变化,制造出寻常被忽略的视角。向庆华对场景进行私人化剪裁,有窥探的视域,有镜像的视域,也有如猫狗一般低于人眼所及的动物视域。
在2011年的一组作品《聚会》、《皮鞋》中, 向庆华用两个视角来诠释同一场景。这个场景的母本来自《人民画报》1955年第2期的封面《一个冰上运动爱好者家庭》,充满建国初期的时代风貌。通过两种不同的构图切割方式,画面的焦点发生了变化,《聚会》以五个家庭成员为焦点,《皮鞋》则将观者的视线聚焦到堆放黑色冰鞋的桌面上。两幅作品也有重合的部分,但通过对场景的主观截取,使之成为两个主题不同的新场景。2009年以来,向庆华的作品逐渐从抒情叙事性转向分析思辨性,“原来的照片中的文字和图像之间被有目的地构建成一种关系。当我把文字和图像组合成的统一艺术语言重新分割的时候,根据这个图像就可能读解出另外的意义。”
